Penthouse
Introducing the Clerkenwell Penthouse – an expressive reimagining of contemporary living in one of London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. What began as a brief to redesign the master bathroom and source a new sofa evolved into a full-scale transformation of the apartment.
Collaborating closely with the client, we folded their collections of books, vinyls and art into the design, elevating them with iconic pieces spanning different eras. Original details which run throughout the open plan kitchen, dining and living areas were carefully preserved, each with its own colour treatment.
The living space became a canvas for bold form and colour, featuring a bespoke curved sofa, striking graphic rug and iconic chairs—together creating a layered, modernist atmosphere.
The hallway/office continues this narrative, blending our own designs with a curated mix of vintage and contemporary pieces to explore the dialogue between craft and modernism.
In the guest bedroom, we drew inspiration from the multicoloured sofa to create a colour-saturated environment that also evokes nature.
The master bedroom offers a quiet sense of luxury while maintaining individuality and warmth.
The master bathroom’s gridded marble floor mirrors the existing gridded ceiling, creating harmony and structure. Drawing on Italian influences, we designed a calming retreat that induces the serenity of a high-end luxury spa through natural tones and materials.
